Learn BOTH scripts. SCRIPT 1: NEMO is excited for their first day of school! NEMO: First day of school! First day of school! C’mon Dad, wake up! No, not you dad. Me! Come on! It’s time for school! It’s time for school! Time to leave the amenani… amenemony… annememomo… Hey dad! Do you know how old sea turtles are? Sandy Plankton said they could live to be a hundred! Can I go play? Please, dad! SCRIPT 2: NEMO: It’s just… even if I do go back to the ocean, I’m still so far from home. I don’t know how to get there, and even if I did, what if… What if my dad doesn’t want me to come back?	NEMO’s story is full of excitement and energy, but there are moments when he/she gets into unfamiliar and scary situations. Your challenge for this audition is to learn BOTH scripts and show the difference in emotion between them. Recommended for NEMO
MARLIN: Coral, look at all that open ocean! You know, a lot of other clownfish had their eye on this place. Best view in the Great Barrier Reef. Oh yeah, a fish can breathe out here. The kids will love it. CORAL (read by a teacher) We still have to name them, I like Nemo. MARLIN: Nemo? Well we can name one Nemo, but I’d like the rest to be Marlin Jr… Coral, what if they don’t like me? CORAL: Marlin, you won’t be doing this alone. Besides, you’ve already got the dad jokes down to an art form. MARLIN: You love my jokes! What did the ocean say to the shore? Nothing! It just waved… Our kids will be funny, and great dancers.	MARLIN shows his wife their new sea anemone home! Show how proud he is about his accomplishment, but also how nervous he is about what his children will think about him. Feel free to replace the highlighted ‘dad joke’ with one of your own choosing Recommended for MARLIN, CORAL
DORY: Excuse me! Whoo-hoo! Little fella? Hello! His son Bingo…no… Jimbo… Nemo was taken to…………… Sydney, yeah. And it’s really important you help us out. Ohhhh not such a little fella are you. A whale, maybe he only speaks whale! [imitating the sound a whale makes] MwOOooo! WwwwEEEE... nEEeeeedd tOOooo FINNND hiIIiiss SONNNNN...CaaaAAAaaN yoooOOOOu... mMm...giIIIVe uuuus dirRECtiooons? No? Maybe a different dialect (she makes a different sounding whale noise) Wait Marlin, where are you going… look no one’s ever stuck with me for so long before, and I remember things better with you. We’re a team, you and me.	DORY speaks whale in order to ask for directions to Sydney! She has a bad memory though so she keeps forgetting certain things. Speak with optimism and don’t be afraid to show how sad you feel when Marlin tries to leave without you. Recommended for DORY
Hello! Looks like you’ve stumbled upon a title party we’re havin’. Leaving so soon? Stay, ‘fraid we won’t take no for an answer. Ah, the gang’s all here! Welcome to the party mates! Did everyone follow the assignment and bring a “guest” with them today? I seem to have (burps) misplaced mine.() Let’s all say the pledge: “fish are friends, not food”!	You are a SHARK who has decided they are not going to eat fish anymore and live a vegetarian lifestyle. Fish are friends, not food (you think, maybe). Act friendly, but scary. Recommended for BRUCE, CHUM, ANCHOR
Dude? Dude? Woahh, he lives! You took on the jellies mini man. Ya saved little blue! You wanna know about the East Australian Current? You’re riding it my man! Next stop… Sydney. Your exits coming up!	You are an easy-going (relaxed) SEA TURTLE and you have found Marlin and Dory after they have been badly stung by jellyfish. Recommended for CRUSH, SEA TURTLE KIDS, SEA CREATURES
Choose either GILL or PEACH GILL: Hey kid! Names Gill, and I’m gonna get you back to the ocean. In fact, I’m gonna get us all back to the ocean where we belong. PEACH: Your escape plans never work Gill. GILL: That doesn’t mean we should ever stop trying. PEACH: Gill here is always cooking up new ways to try and bust us outta the aquarium. GILL: Fish are not meant to be in a box. It does things to ya. We can’t give up! We were so close last time! PEACH: Operation Toilet Flush was the closest we’ve come. But our tank smelled for weeks! I still have nightmares. We’re just getting too old for this stuff…	You have just met Nemo and are introducing yourself. You may CHOOSE to speak either GILL (the leader of the tank gang) or PEACH (a member of the tank gang) Recommended for GILL, TANK GANG, NIGEL, REEF KIDS, REEF PARENTS
