In Year 9 Music it's important that you are getting a weekly instrumental lesson with a specialist teacher. You are also expected to practice 20 minutes x 5 days a week.
You are required to perform 1 solo piece during the year. This will take place at the end of Term 1. This performance is assessed according to the criteria. (see to the right).
You are also required to participate in 3 group ensemble performances. Term 1 - Cupcake Concert. Term 2 - Class Performance (assessed). Term 3 - End of Year Concert.
The marking feedback sheet to Year 9 students is attached below and is based on the same template as for GCSE Music.
The assessment criteria for both the solo and ensemble performances is below and this will be explained in more detail in class by your teacher.
